| On 1 September 2005, business
and government leaders from across Alaska gathered in the Hilton Anchorage Hotel to take
part in the 1st Alaska-China Business Conference. The event was sponsored
by World Trade Center Alaska, the State of Alaska and the Alaska Export Assistance Center.
It was an information-packed day that included presentations by experienced China
hands that provided ideas, insights and strategies for those seeking to initiate or
expand their business in China. A wealth of valuable information was presented and
conference attendees were able to have their questions answered during Q & A sessions
and during breaks throughout the day.
In total, nine presentations were made
covering a wide variety of important issues and aspects of doing business in China. Both
challenges and opportunities were discussed. To see photos from the conference, please click here.
