WTCAK Hosts Alaska’s Consular Corps. At Reception

On 10 August 2006, World Trade Center Alaska (WTCAK) conducted a special reception in recognition and appreciation of the consuls and honorary consuls who represent a variety of countries in Alaska. Through their work, these persons help to promote stronger commercial and cultural ties between Alaska and the countries they represent. Approximately 60 people attended the reception. During the event, Canadian Consul Karen Matthias and Japanese Consul Yoshio Uchiyama made brief remarks on behalf of their government offices and Bernd Guetschow, Honorary Consul for Germany, made remarks on behalf of the 18 honorary consuls serving in Alaska.

Their office was opened in September 2004

David Ramseur greeted reception attendees with a message from Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich. Ramseur is the Mayor’s Chief of Staff and also a board member of World Trade Center Alaska.
