Nearly 600 Alaskans filled the ballroom of the Hilton Anchorage Hotel on February 23, 2006 to hear a major address by United States Senator Lisa Murkowski. Senator Murkowski reported on her recent trip to Asia where she met with government officials in Japan, Korea and China, Alaska’s top three trading partners. Her talk covered foreign policy, including the status of the six-party talks concerning North Korea’s nuclear program, as well as trade issues between the United States and countries in this important region. World Trade Center Alaska was honored that Senator Murkowski chose our luncheon event to present this important address to Alaskans.
